Sprites creation: 3 more characters.
Script:70%
Music:0%
Backgrounds:60%
...Still a long way to go.
I can't release this game yet.If there is any excuse, it's that I need to wake up and focus on my real life issues.
Release date will be postponed till a later time. For now, I need to change the tentative date on my twitter.

Dev news... after long hiatus.
When was it I last posted in this blog? Five months? Yay~
I'm not exactly the type to write blogs so much, so here's some update since last post.
I have changed my machine since then and progress had been relatively good since then, The engine is working and I had completed about 70% of the sprites. All that left are the music and proofreading. The problem with proofreading is that the text might look good in the files but in the actual game, it is a horrible mess. So what I did was I insert the text first, make sure the code works THEN I proofread the text. It is a rather tedious task.
...Sometime I just wish I can recruit people in this project, but I'm not confident with my capacity in leading a group. Perhaps I will start recruiting for Volume 2? Who knows?
On the side note, I just bought Idolmaster 2 for the PS3 couple days back. I'm so excited~~ And then I remembered the horrible tax UK customs would charge me. The thought itself is terrifying.
I feel like getting ToHeart2 DX as well, but I remembered I'm currently saving up money for trip to Japan in 2013. *sigh*

Development News
Oh wow, it's almost 2 months from the last post. Development is progressing steadily, although very slowly since my computer is on the verge of eternal death. I can barely work on any digital part and thus I need to do everything manually. Computer seems to be overheating very easily after an hour unless I leave it freezing at the window.
I would like to set September as tentative release date as script is almost 40% completed and vol 2 is on the planning stage, but it will be major pain if this continues any longer. Release date might be pushed further back but I believe I will release the first part within this year.
I just hope I won't lose all the data I have worked on....
Ps: I know I am supposed to be writing about the development history, but really this laptop condition does not allow me to work for long.

Blog Design Updated! Though there's lot's more to improve.
Now with banner and Twitter feed!
I wanted to draw a kickass detailed banner at first, but I don't have much time, preparing for my London tour tomorrow. But hey, it's April Fool's, so anything goes eh?

Development Part 1.
The concept started with the creation of the original Stigmata Story. It was first started as a short story I wrote for the school magazine but later was cancelled because of the heavy fantasy setting and gore content. It was also considered too long for publication and because of that, I decided to not submit the work. However, the story is far from dead. I kept the original plotline while continuing to expanding it.
Emotion Notion does not come into my mind until around mid 2008. I was heavily influenced by the game Persona 3 and 4 as well as the visual novel/anime Chaos;Head developed by Nitroplus. At that time, I wanted to change the direction of the original towards a more realistic setting but later on I decided not to and write a re-imagining of the story instead. Thus the initial plot writing begun around the year 2009 whenever I have free time.
The initial title for this work was Stigmata Stories: Re;write, with the title as a homage for Chaos;Head. However, at the beginning of 2010, Key announced the development of their next game Rewrite, and because of that I decided to change the title to Psyche Resonance to avoid any copyright problems. After some time towards the end of 2010, I decided to change the name yet again to Emotion Notion. The new title was adopted because A) there is a significant change in key plot which was reflected in the old title and B) It rhymes.
Initial writing had taken significant changes as well amount of time due to limitation of the time that I can actually spend on the project as well as me rethinking the plot progression. However, starting from September 2010, I have moved to United Kingdom to further my study and this had made me to take a significant turn to my pre-existing materials; I decided to write everything again from the ground up, salvaging the materials from what I had originally planned for the new work.
This new environment had given me new inspiration for the story as well as the opportunity to view the story from a new perspective. And this had materialises into the project that is now in actual development.
More about this in the next entry.

This is the [alternate] beginning.
The chosen one, wielding the legendary sword. With the sword’s immense power, he vanquishes evil and became the savior of all.
Is what we always believe.
What if the chosen one was not chosen himself?
What if the sword isn’t something one should look for?
What if the chosen one decides not to become a savior and kill us all?
This is such a story. A story of false hope. A story of despair. A story where the truth is right in the beholders’ sight yet they fail to see it.
This is Stigmata Story. And Emotion Notion is a retelling of the story, it is an alternate yet parallel story.
Separate yet connected.
